Digital planner
  • Instant download, nothing ships
  • Works with Goodnotes, Notability & any PDF app

This family emergency binder gives your household one calm place to record contacts, plans, checklists and where every important document is kept: 53 hyperlinked pages in greige and sage, to fill in on a tablet or print for a real binder. It's an instant digital download with nothing shipped, and an organizer only, not safety, legal or medical advice.

You get one PDF: 53 undated pages in 7 tabbed sections.

Works in Goodnotes, Notability and Noteshelf on iPad, and in Xodo or Samsung Notes on Android tablets: any note app that keeps PDF links.

What to record, section by section

Front (3 pages). A cover with lines for your family name and the last-updated date, a contents page, and How to Use with a privacy note.

01 Household & Contacts (9 pages). Household information (address, cross street, who lives here, directions, which door to use) and a one-page Quick Reference with 911 and Poison Help (1-800-222-1222) already printed, each marked "or your local number", plus lines for non-emergency police and fire, an out-of-area contact, your doctor, hospital, pharmacy, vet and utility outage lines. Then family & relatives, neighbors & friends (who has a key, what they can help with), doctors & health, utilities & services, insurance contacts for 10 policy types, and school, childcare & work with approved pick-up names.

02 Family & Pets (10 pages). A family overview links to six member profiles. Each has space for a photo, a description, blood type if known, optional ID and insurance numbers (last 4 only), doctor, allergies, conditions, access & functional needs and a medications table. Two pet pages hold the microchip number, vet, feeding and behavior notes and a seven-item "if we have to leave" list.

03 House & Utilities (4 pages). Home details & access, which asks where the spare key, Wi-Fi password and alarm code are kept rather than the codes themselves; shut-off locations for water, gas and electricity, with the tool needed, who knows how and lines for the steps from your provider; and a home inventory for insurance.

04 Emergency Plan (7 pages). A family plan listing 10 tasks with a person and a backup for each, Grab First (what to take with 5 or with 15 minutes, where it's kept and who grabs it), evacuation & meeting places with three routes and a shelter-in-place room, a home escape map to sketch each floor with a map key, a communication plan, and a drills & reviews log.

05 Kits & Checklists (7 pages). A go-bag checklist (24 items plus blank lines), go-bag extras for six people, a car kit list (20 items) with checks for two vehicles, vehicle information for two cars, a home supplies list with how much and where it's kept, and a kit check log. Each list is printed as a general starting point to adapt to your household.

06 Documents & Accounts (7 pages). Two document-location pages naming 28 documents, from birth certificates and passports to the safe deposit box key, each with where the original and the copy are kept. Then an insurance policy summary, two accounts & bills pages and a digital accounts page that records where login details are kept, never the passwords.

07 Caregiver & Notes (6 pages). A babysitter & caregiver page (where you are, back by, 911 and Poison Help, the children's allergies, guest Wi-Fi, where the first-aid kit is), routines & house rules, and three notes pages.

What it leaves out on purpose

There are no fields for account passwords, PINs or alarm codes (the one password line is for a guest Wi-Fi network, on the babysitter page), and account, ID and policy numbers stop at the last 4 digits. It also doesn't tell you what to do in an emergency: the plan pages are blanks for your own household's decisions, and they point you to official guidance from your local authorities.

The Calm Neutral design

Greige and stone pages, soft-white cards, charcoal text and sage accents, with small line icons and a strip of binder-ring holes down the left edge. The cover pairs the title with a sage panel and a house inside a ring of icons. The tab for the section you're in turns solid sage.

Who it's for

  • Families with kids, pets or a regular sitter who want every number and location written down once.
  • Anyone tired of hunting for where the passports or the water shut-off are.

Prefer a softer look? The same 53 pages come in Warm Floral. For health records, the matching Family Medical Binder adds medication lists, appointments and logs, and the Home Management Binder covers everyday routines. Browse them together in Family & home.

Questions

Can I print it? Yes. The pages are light, so they print well: choose landscape and "fit to page" on US Letter or A4, then hole-punch them for a binder. To print one page, export just that page from your app first.

How many people and pets does it hold? Six member profiles and two pet pages. Need more? Duplicate a page in your app; you'll find the copy in your app's page view.

Is it safe to write our details in it? It asks where things are kept, not for account passwords or full numbers; the only password line is the guest Wi-Fi network on the babysitter page. The How to Use page suggests keeping the file on a passcode-protected device.

Does it tell us what to do in an emergency? No. It's an organizer for your own information. Follow official guidance from your local authorities.

Is the medical binder included? No, it's sold separately. Here, each member profile has a short health section; the medical binder is for ongoing records.
