One font, the most names

Modern Minimal is set entirely in Inter: FIND YOUR SEAT in light, widely spaced capitals, guest names in regular weight and table numbers in bold beside them. A thin charcoal frame, a pair of interlocking rings above your names and a short taupe rule under the title are the only decoration. Because it uses one typeface, there's only one font to install for PowerPoint or Keynote, and it's in the Fonts folder; Google Slides already has it.

This design also fits the most guests of the three: about 126 alphabetical lines on one 24x36 sign, about 268 when you split A to Z over two signs, about 106 on 18x24, and about 40 lines on 16x20 (up to about 50 guests). By table, it's 20 or 30 tables of up to 10 on 24x36, 12 tables on 18x24 and 9 on 16x20.

The table numbers keep the same look: TABLE in small capitals above a plain numeral from 1 to 30, plus The Head Table and The Sweetheart Table, with your names on the front and the date on the back. The light background prints cleanly on a home printer, which makes the US Letter sheets of table numbers and escort cards easy to print and cut yourself.

Questions about Modern Minimal

Can I print the big sign at home? Not at 24x36: send the PDF to a print shop or photo lab. The table numbers and escort cards are made to print at home on US Letter card stock, at actual size.

Can I change the text color? Yes. All the words are editable text, so you can recolor them in PowerPoint. The rings and the frame are part of the background.

Will it suit a non-wedding event? The layout works for any seated dinner: type over the headings and the couple's names. The rings stay on the background, so it suits weddings, engagements and anniversaries most naturally.
